Very well mixed and mastered, which is an art by itself.
It sounds crisp and crystal clear, every little detail has been taken care of.
The main theme of the song sounds very convincing.
Also, I've got a soft spot for pumping basslines.
So I give it 5 out of 5.

If you would scout me, I would be honored and humbled.

OceanPlanet responds:

Thank you so much for such kind words dude :) really so nice to hear you took the time to listen! I'm happy you said about the mix as it's the first song I've used to incorporate piano and strings :)

Haha, I used to dream of fusing drum n bass and blues together, but I suppose rock n roll works just as well.
To be honest, I was expecting a guitar solo at around 2:00.
An earlier and more prominent breakdown would also have been nice, to make the dancing people get a little bit of rest.

Nice to hear an acoustic song for a change.
Who says composing soothing tunes is only reserved for the likes of Einaudi?

Very, very well done.
The intro is a bit of a waiting process, but that waiting is immediately rewarded by a lot of colourful sounds.
The variety of melodies show great skill in the composition department.

Btw, I'd be honored if you would scout me.

SylvanShackleton responds:

Thanks man! I went to go scout ya but i cant figure out how with the new page design.

Yeah, syncopation galore!
The strong point of this song are the leads/plucks and the intelligently written melodies.
Why not add some superstring chord stabs with a different rhythm pattern in the melody (but still with syncopation) than what you have now?
That would make this song totally awesome.

You should add a bassline after about 4 or 8 bars of the flute-like instrument.
This track is begging for it, and the introduction of a bassline will inspire you to add more features to the song.
Listen to the likes of "VHS Glitch" for some ideas of a bassline.
The Analog Lab VST has lots of great retro bass sounds, and is not very expensive if you buy it at the right time.

It's so dreamy, I love it.
This is a good way to use chromatics.
Kudos to the singer, too!
Wish you used a more subtle instrument after 3 minutes, instead of the piano, though.

D00FY responds:

Hey dude thanks a bunch for taking the time to give me some good feedback! Yeah I must admit a lot of credit should go to the singer, think she wrote the lyrics too. I agree, another instrument would definitely have been a wise move. Again thank you dude.

I really love the sound of that piano.
The strings work great with it.

Just a simple software developer by day, but by night I become the supervillain Amadeion, terrorizing innocent civilians who have a good taste in music.
